1. All people stand in need of the Grace of God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Romans 3:23
Believing this, we are committed to opening the doors of Lewis so that all people discover, receive, demonstrate and grow in the grace of God.
2. The Bible changes lives. Romans 1:16, Psalm 119:105
Because we find Christ, His salvation, and will for our lives in the books of the Old and New Testaments, we use the Bible to teach, disciple, and equip people for holy living.
3. God has placed a Call on each of our lives. Matthew 11:28
God has placed a call on each of our lives to choose a saving relationship with God, a loving relationship with other members of the Body, a serving relationship with those in need, and to discover our own spiritual gifts, talents, resources, individuality, dreams and life experiences.
Believing this, we nurture, encourage, and support all people so that they might find God’s calling on their lives also.
4. To help us become like Christ, God has given us a pathway and the power to walk it. Ephesians 3:7
Because we desire to become like Christ, we practice spiritual disciplines. We pray, receive the sacraments, actively participate in worship, tithe, deny self, perform acts of mercy and extend forgiveness. We willingly hold ourselves accountable through small groups, scripture reading, and other actions that reflect the power that God has on our lives.
